Papa came to Ethiopia from Rome in 1941
as a soldier of Mussolini... When we spoke
of those days, papa proudly reminded us
that he never used his gun.... "Non ho mai
saputo se funzionasse o no"... "I never knew
if it worked or not" he said once...
Mom was born in Mekele, Ethiopia and though
has traveled extensively as well, is now
back home where I plan to join her permanently
